Dr. Syed A. Samad
Dr. Syed A. Samad is the founder and medical director of Digestive Care, bringing over 40 years of specialized expertise in gastroenterology and hepatology to patients across Arkansas. He serves as Adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Medical Director of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the Arkansas Surgery & Endoscopy Center in Little Rock and Pine Bluff.
Dr. Samad established his Pine Bluff practice in 1994 and expanded to Little Rock in 2005, building one of Arkansas’s most respected outpatient GI networks. He is Triple Board Certified in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine & Obesity Medicine, and is one of only a few experts certified to perform Sacral Neuromodulation Trials, Anorectal Manometry & Biofeedback, and FibroScan interpretation. A national scientific speaker and former president of APPNA, he has been recognized among “America’s Top Gastroenterologists” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Ahmed Samad, MBA, FACMPE, CASC, serves as Chief Executive Officer for Digestive Care, Arkansas Surgery & Endoscopy Center, and Central Arkansas Surgical Center. His leadership combines healthcare business management, ASC administration, strategic growth, and a lifelong connection to the practice founded by his father, Dr. Syed A. Samad.
Ahmed’s healthcare journey began at a young age, learning the business from the ground up and gaining experience in nearly every role. Today, he helps lead a multi-location organization serving Pine Bluff, Little Rock, Russellville, and surrounding communities, with a continued focus on quality, efficiency, patient-centered care, and access to advanced GI and outpatient endoscopy services.
